LOOKING FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM? WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES FOR THE MALAYSIAN MUSIC EDUCATION CONFERENCE 2021 (MusEd’21)
The Malaysian Music Education Conference 2021 (MusEd'21) will be organized virtually by the UiTM Faculty of Music and Malaysian Association For Music Education (MAME) on August 20-22, 2021.
Introduced in 2002, MusEd is a leading event for music education in Malaysia. This year’s MusEd’21 has as its theme, INCLUSIVE. ENGAGING. BORDERLESS. The conference offers performers the opportunity to showcase performances on a virtual platform.
We are expecting up to 500 music educators from all over the world to join the Virtual Conference. So do not miss this opportunity to join us and be heard!
MusEd’21 Virtual Concerts
Who can apply?
Freelance artists, as well as performers and ensembles affiliated with schools, colleges, universities, or conservatories, are encouraged to submit proposals.
Required Application Materials.
A short (100-word) biography/background on the ensemble/performer/performers
An audiovisual (high resolution) recording of a maximum of 20 minutes performance.
The list of repertoire (the title of each work and the name of its composer/arranger) performed in the audiovisual recording submitted.
The audiovisual recording should be a continuous performance of the repertoire selected.
The audiovisual recording of your performance is to be uploaded using the MusEd’21 Call for Virtual Performance Application Form that can be found on the MusEd’21 website.
Deadline for submission - no later than 11:59 pm, 18 June 2021 (Malaysia Time Zone UTC+8).
Available performance times include lunch concerts on August 20, 21 and 22, and evening concerts on August 20 and 21.
All accepted performances will be slotted at the MusEd’21 organizer’s discretion.
Acknowledgments will be sent to those who have submitted proposals by the deadline.
The committee will communicate its decision by 9 July 2021.
Information on the performance slots of all accepted applications will be provided at a later time when the schedule of performances is finalized.
* MusEd‘21 is unable to pay a fee to performers or to cover any performance-related expenses.
